Overspray finds your lights first

Every cycle puts a little more haze on the lens. Light output drops, color match gets harder, and defects hide in the dim — which is how a job comes back.

So somebody gets a ladder and a rag soaked in thinner. It works, for a while. But solvent and scrubbing etch the lens a little more each time, and haze that won't wipe off is permanent. Eventually you're not cleaning lenses anymore. You're buying them.

How it works

The film is seven bonded layers of 2-mil (50 micron) PET, cut to the size of your fixture and held on by adhesive around the perimeter. Each layer carries a scratch- and chemical-resistant coating, so the film takes the overspray instead of your glass.

• Install once. Clean the lens, line it up, press the perimeter down.
• Peel when it clouds. Grab the tab, pull one layer, and a fresh surface is underneath.
• Repeat six more times. One installation gives you seven clean surfaces.
• No residue. Layers separate cleanly — nothing to scrape off between renewals.

Why we're carrying it

We service paint booths for a living. Clouded lights are one of the most common things we find, and the fix has always been the same bad trade — spend the labor scrubbing, or accept the dim. This is the first thing we've seen that removes the trade entirely.

The honest math: the film isn't cheaper than wiping a lens down. What it saves is the seven trips up the ladder, the solvent, the booth sitting idle, and the lens you'd eventually have to replace.
