Paint booth exhaust filter pads sit in the exhaust pit or floor panels and capture paint overspray as air leaves the booth. They protect exhaust fans and ductwork from paint buildup and help facilities meet environmental compliance standards. This collection covers both fiberglass and polyester exhaust pads in standard 20x20 and 20x25 sizes.
Fiberglass vs polyester exhaust pads
Fiberglass pads are the cost-effective choice for most spray booth exhaust applications. They provide reliable overspray capture and suit the majority of automotive refinishing and light industrial coating operations. Polyester pads offer a longer service life under heavier spray loads, resist moisture better, and hold their shape under continuous airflow, which makes them the better fit for high-volume production or high-solids materials. Both use 22 g/ft² high-loft media and fit standard 20x20 and 20x25 exhaust grid configurations.
Replacement interval
Inspect exhaust pads monthly and replace them every three to six months depending on spray volume. A heavily loaded exhaust filter restricts airflow, reduces the booth's ability to maintain proper negative pressure, and can allow overspray to bypass the filter and reach the exhaust fan. Replace before the pad reaches full loading capacity to avoid these issues.
