Paint Booth Charcoal Filter Blanket – Odor Control, 48x100x1/2 – 5-Pack is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The Charcoal Filter Blanket combines paint overspray capture with activated-charcoal odor control in a single exhaust media. Made from charcoal-coated bound polyester fibers, it traps overspray before it exits the booth while helping neutralize paint and solvent odors. Sold 5 per box.
Most shops reach for charcoal media when the complaints start — a neighbouring tenant, a residential property line, or an office on the other side of the wall from the exhaust stack. Activated charcoal adsorbs the solvent vapours that carry paint smell, so it addresses the nuisance directly rather than just diluting it. It is an odor-control media, not an emissions-control device, and it is not a substitute for any VOC or air-permit requirement that applies to your operation.
Key Features
- Charcoal-coated polyester media: captures overspray and helps control paint and solvent odors.
- Bound polyester fibers: durable construction for reliable, long-lasting performance.
- Large coverage: a 48x100 inch blanket provides an extensive filtration area.
- Cut-to-fit: trim to suit exhaust frames and plenums.
- Dimensions: 48 x 100 x 1/2 inches.
- Pack quantity: 5 blankets per box.
Best For
- Exhaust overspray capture with odor control in spray booths
- Shops with neighbouring tenants, offices or residential property lines near the exhaust stack
- Automotive refinishing and collision center finishing
- Industrial and solvent-heavy coating operations
Usage & Care
Cut to fit your exhaust frame with the charcoal-coated face toward the incoming air. Charcoal media has a finite adsorption capacity and reaches it before the blanket looks visibly loaded, so judge replacement by whether odor control has fallen off rather than by appearance alone — if the smell is back, the charcoal is spent even if the media still looks serviceable.
Solvent-heavy work saturates charcoal faster than waterborne. Shops running high-solids clears and lacquers should expect a shorter interval than the same booth spraying waterborne basecoat.
