SATA is a German manufacturer of professional spray finishing equipment and air filtration systems, widely used in automotive refinishing and industrial coating operations worldwide. Their multi-stage inline air filtration systems are designed to deliver clean, dry, oil-free compressed air to spray guns — a critical requirement for waterborne and high-solids coatings that are sensitive to moisture and oil contamination.
Replacement cartridges we carry
- Stage 1 — Sintered Bronze Filter (Part #22160) — The first stage of filtration in SATA’s inline filter series. The sintered bronze element separates particles larger than 5 microns from the compressed air stream. Used in two and three-stage filtration systems. Replacement interval: approximately every six months.
- Stage 2 — Fine Filter (Part #81810) — Secondary stage fine filter that captures smaller particles and coalesces water droplets and oil mist that pass through the first stage. Maintains clean air between the sintered pre-filter and the activated charcoal final stage.
- Stage 3 — Activated Charcoal Filter (Part #85373) — Final stage activated charcoal cartridge that removes odors, oil vapor, and residual hydrocarbons from the compressed air supply. Essential when spraying waterborne coatings in environments where oil vapor contamination would cause adhesion or finish defects.
SATA replacement cartridges are model-specific and engineered to maintain the filtration performance of SATA inline air filtration systems. Using genuine SATA elements ensures the correct micron rating, flow capacity, and fit — maintaining clean air delivery and protecting the integrity of your spray finish.
