USI Italia Paint Booth Filters — Ceiling Blankets & Bag Filters

USI Italia builds spray booths for automotive and industrial finishing, with a reputation for tight airflow control and consistent results. Keeping that performance means staying on top of filter replacements — a clogged intake or exhaust filter directly affects air quality inside the booth and the finish on the vehicle.

Ceiling Intake Blankets

USI downdraft booths draw incoming air through a ceiling-mounted polyester blanket filter. This is the filter that has the biggest impact on paint quality — it catches dust and airborne particles before they reach the spray zone.

We stock USI-specific ceiling blanket sizes, and a custom-cut option is available if your booth uses dimensions that fall outside the standard range. To order a custom size, measure the filter opening in your ceiling plenum (width × length) and enter the dimensions at checkout.

8-Pocket Bag Filter (23.5" × 46" × 8")

USI Italia booths use a deep-pocket bag filter in the pre-filter or exhaust positions. The 8-pocket design increases the surface area available for filtration, which means it holds more overspray before it needs to be changed and maintains better airflow as it loads up compared to a flat filter.

Sold in boxes of four. This filter covers both the pre-filter and exhaust positions on compatible USI models — confirm your booth's filter location and opening size before ordering.

Door Sweep

The neoprene rubber door sweep seals the gap at the bottom of the booth door. A failed door seal is one of the most common sources of contamination in older booths — outside air carries dust into the spray zone and overspray can escape. The sweep is 1/4" thick and available in 4" and 8" widths, in 10-foot lengths. It is compatible with USI Italia and most other booth brands.

How do I know which ceiling blanket size fits my USI Italia booth?

Measure the filter opening in the ceiling plenum directly — width and length in inches. Match those dimensions to the sizes listed above. If you cannot find an exact match, use the custom-cut option and enter your measurements.

The 8-pocket bag filter — does it go in the pre-filter position, the exhaust position, or both?

It depends on your specific USI model. Some configurations use this filter only as a pre-filter, others use it at the exhaust stage. Check the slot dimensions in your booth (23.5" × 46" × 8") to confirm it is the right fit, and consult your booth manual if you are unsure which position it occupies.

How often should USI Italia filters be replaced?

Ceiling intake blankets should be replaced one to two times per year under normal conditions. The 8-pocket bag filter lifespan depends heavily on spray volume — inspect it monthly and replace it when the pockets look fully loaded or when you notice a drop in airflow.
