DeVilbiss Paint Booth Filters — Ceiling Blankets & Replacement Filters
DeVilbiss was one of the first manufacturers to produce professional-grade paint booths for the automotive and industrial market. The brand was acquired by a tool company in 1990 and is no longer producing booths, but a significant number of DeVilbiss systems are still running in shops today.
Finding replacement filters for a discontinued brand is not always straightforward. We stock the ceiling intake blankets and door seals that cover the most common DeVilbiss maintenance needs, with a custom-cut option for booths that use non-standard filter sizes.
Keeping a DeVilbiss Booth Running
A DeVilbiss downdraft booth works the same way most modern booths do — air comes in through the ceiling, passes through the spray zone, and exits through the floor. What makes older DeVilbiss booths worth maintaining is that the core booth structure is built to last; the filters and seals are the parts that wear out.
Ceiling intake filters are the most frequent replacement. When they load up with dust, the air quality inside the booth drops, and that shows in the finish. Door seals go longer without attention but quietly cause problems when they fail — a gap at the base of the door pulls in floor-level dust every time the booth runs.
What We Carry
Ceiling intake blankets
Polyester blanket filters in standard DeVilbiss sizes. If your booth was installed in the 1980s or earlier, the ceiling opening dimensions may differ from later configurations — measure your filter opening (width × length) before ordering rather than relying on a size used previously.
Replace at least once a year under normal use. Inspect every month or two in a busy shop.
Custom Cut Ceiling Filter Blanket
The same polyester material, cut to any dimension you specify. If standard sizes do not match your booth's ceiling plenum, this is the option to use. Enter your exact measurements at checkout.
Neoprene Rubber Door Sweep Strip (10ft)
A 1/4"-thick neoprene strip available in 4" and 8" widths, sold in 10-foot lengths. Fits the floor gap at the base of DeVilbiss booth doors and is compatible with most other booth brands as well. Measure your door gap width before ordering to get the right profile.

Frequently Asked Questions
My DeVilbiss booth is from the 1980s — can I still find the right filter size?
In most cases, yes. DeVilbiss ceiling plenums used dimensions that are still common today, but because there is variation between models and installation years, measuring your actual opening is the most reliable approach. If nothing in the standard range matches, the Custom Cut Ceiling Filter Blanket covers any size.
How do I measure my ceiling filter opening?
Open the ceiling plenum access panel and measure the inside dimensions of the filter frame — width first, then length, in inches. That is the size to order. If the plenum holds multiple filter panels side by side, measure each individual opening.
Do you carry DeVilbiss exhaust filters?
Not in this collection currently. If you need exhaust filters for your DeVilbiss booth, contact us with your booth model and exhaust pit dimensions and we will advise on what is available.
How long does a ceiling blanket filter last in a DeVilbiss booth?
Under average use, one to two replacements per year is the standard guidance. In a shop that sprays every day, monthly inspection makes sense — replace when the filter surface looks visibly dirty or when airflow through the ceiling noticeably drops.
Not sure which filter fits your booth?
Use our Find My Filter tool to match your booth, or send us a photo of your booth tag or current filter and a technician will identify the exact filter and size for you. Need a non-standard size? We custom-cut filters to your exact dimensions.
